How to get there

The city of Rotorua and Hamurana Lodge is at the heart of the North Island, just 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of Tauranga, 80 km (50 miles) north of Taupo, 105 kilometers (65 miles) east Hamilton, and 230 kilometers (140 miles) southeast of Auckland.

GETTING TO ROTORUA BY AIR

Air New Zealand is a group of international and domestic airlines providing services within New Zealand as well as to and from Australia, the South West Pacific, Asia, North America and the United Kingdom.

Air New Zealand flies to 27 domestic destinations through New Zealand's North and South Islands, with daily direct services to Rotorua from Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, and twice a week direct from Sydney.

FROM ROTORUA AIRPORT

Turn left out of the gate and continue for 9km. At the north end of the lake turn left at Mourea in Hamurana Road and follow the signs to Ngongotaha. Hamurana Country Estate is on the right, a few minutes after passing the Hamurana Store.

BY ROAD

- 15 minutes from the centre of Rotorua
- 20 minutes from Rotorua airport
- Under 3 hours drive from Auckland 

FROM NGONGOTAHA

From SH5 north of Rotorua turn onto SH36 signed for Tauranga. Pass through the Ngongotaha village and continue on for 5km where you will find the estate on your left.

FROM TAURANGA & THE COROMANDEL

Take the new SH6 through Pyes Pa from Tauranga to Rotorua. You will reach a T intersection at Hamurana. Turn right and you will find the estate a few hundred meters along on your right
